daeckardt: I was born in California, grew up in Alaska, lived all up and down the West coast, spent 10 months in Missouri when I was in high school. After graduating from college, I moved to North Carolina for 8 years during which time I was diagnosed with ovarian cancer. I spent 2 years teaching English in China then returned to the states for medical treatment. I spent another 6 months in China until I was diagnosed with recurrent ovarian cancer. Now I am undergoing treatment again.
